Nsit Ubium leaders get exco


A group the Supreme Council of Nsit Ubium Youth leaders’ penultimate week elected a pioneer executive to pilot the affairs of the body for the next one administrative year. A release signed by the body indicates that Abel Akpan emerged as the chairman while Esema N. Esema emerged as secretary. Others in the exco include Obot Ekpo Director of Mobilization, Udeme Gamble Director Security and protocol. Alex Udoh emerged as the publicity secretary while Saviour Williams emerged as the organizing secretary.

In his acceptance speech, Abel Akpan stated that they will ensure that they integrate and carry the youths along in not only the politics of the local government area but in also that of the federal constituency, senatorial district, state and nation at large. He added that this pioneer executive will leave no stone unturned as they seek more dividends of democracy to the people of Nsit Ubium LGA.

The youth leader heaped praises on the state governor Godswill Akpabio for his leadership strides which he described as legendary. While appreciating the governor for the development indices in Nsit Ubium, the youth leader appealed to the governor to kindly assist the area repair roads in the community.

Abel Akpan however solicited the cooperation of the people of Nsit Ubium LGA both at home and in the Diaspora towards the success of the exco and towards the growth of the LGA noting that the people of Nsit Ubium will benefit from their strides.

Giving an insight, the group in a release signed by the chairman Abel Akpan and Secretary Esema Esema said that the body shall act as a platform where other youth bodies and community leaders shall meet to proffer solutions to problems affecting the local government area in their respective rights.
