Abak PDP gets charge

The Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Otoro Ward One in Abak Local Government area, Comrade Bernard Utang has called on elective and appointed officers of the party in the Ward to sit up and perform well in their respective offices and should emulate what the State Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio is doing by providing the much-needed dividends of democracy to the people of the Ward. Comrade Utang who made the call during the Party meeting which took place over the weekend at Government School, Abiaokpo Ukana, regretted that some of the officers after their election or appointment, have decided to shy away from their responsibilities.

The Chairman thanked members of the party for their support and contribution to the success of the party at all levels during the last election and appealed to them to continue to be steadfast, and not to be intimidated by the registration of new political parties by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), assuring that as a performing party, the Peoples
Democratic Party will continue to wax stronger. He advised them to always work in line with the Party Constitution, stressing that the party would not hesitate to sanction any member found to be involved in anti-party activities or work against the progress and success of the ruling party.

The party Chairman thanked the Elders for their support and advise, assuring that though it is not in the party’s constitution to form an Elders Forum, the party will not hesitate to always call on them for advise when necessary.
Comrade Utang assured the members that the party will continue to hold meeting regularly to put it house in order and prepare to record 100 percent success during the 2015 general election.

He used the occasion to commend the Leader of the Party in the State, Chief Godswill Akpabio for making members of the ruling party and the entire people of the State proud through the numerous achievements he has recorded in the State in the past six years.

Also speaking, the Personal Assistant to the Governor on Media, Research and Documentation, Mr. Joe Iniodu who was represented by the immediate past

PDP Chairman of the Ward, Adede Nse Iniodu, called on members to continue to be steadfast in their support to the party and the government of Chief Godswill Akpabio. The Governor’s Aide thanked the party Chairman for his wisdom in convening the meeting, describing it as timely and a welcome development.

Others who spoke at the well-attended meeting includlnq, Hon. Nsini Elijah, Hon. Friday Utang, Mrs. Mercy Isonguyo, Hon. Godwin, Norbert, Mr. Paul , Okodi, among others, pledged to work for the success of the party during the 2015 general election and thanked the leadership of the party in the Ward for convening the meeting.
