Patriots finger Akpabio, Ita Enang in plot against the state
The Concerned Patriots of Akwa Ibom, a socio-political organization, has fingered out Senator Godswill Akpabio, Obong Nsima Ekere, Senator Ita Enang and their cohorts as agents of doom who have decided to masquerade themselves in pretence of offering a better alternative to the state.
The group, in a press statement signed by its National President, Chief Peter Ekwere and the Secretary, Dr. Timothy Inyang , and made available to newsmen on Thursday, accused them of working to disorganize an established peaceful political system in order to actualise their political quest for political power and selfish grip of the economic resources of the state.
The group stated that the level of desperation exhibited by these political disruptors who have lost reputation in all ways possible, irrelevant in the political chronicle of the state and subservient to the whims and caprices of the party they claim to be fighting for, is most alarming.
“It is sad to note that , in an attempt to achieve their nefarious goals, these opposition political agents have resorted to the peddling of malicious and baseless allegations in attempts to discredit Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel and deride the salient leadership performance and developmental legacies that his government has created in the state in the last three and a half years.”
The Concerned Patriots of Akwa Ibom noted that the malicious rumours and baseless allegations these desperate sons of the state have resorted to, in order to discredit Governor Udom Emmanuel whom the entire Akwa Ibom State has chosen for eight years, given his outstanding achievements in many areas, are nothing less than statements coming from conscienceless individuals.
The statement therefore, called on all the people of the state to be more committed to the struggle to wrestle the state from the parasitic grip of the defeated minds, as the state cannot afford to comprise her peaceful overtures.
The group affirmed its commitment to the re-election of Governor Udom Emmanuel and called on all to vote for the Governor in March 2 governorship elections.
“We are persuaded that, for the glorious gains which the Udom Emmanuel candidacy holds for the state. Akwa Ibom people will unite as a common front to enshrine democratic justice by re-electing Gov. Udom Emmanuel with votes in the forthcoming March 2, 2019 election”, the statement added.
