Abak 5 Consolidated Movement Organizes Election Awareness campaign for Udom, PDP

In a bid to mobilize support for the re-election of Mr. Udom Emmanuel, a leading socio-political organization in the former Abak Division, the Abak 5-In-One Consolidated Movement has organized Election Awareness/Sensitization of Voters Meeting.

The well-attended event which took place last Sunday at Ebom Avenue, Abak, attracted youths, women and Elders from the five local government areas of the former Abak Division.

In his welcome speech, the Convener of the meeting, Prince Kokoette Ekpo explained that since election is few weeks away, it became imperative for the organization to organize awareness campaign to educate eligible voter, on how to vote for Mr. Udom Emmanuel and all the PDP candidates.

Prince Ekpo who is the International President, Abak 5-In-One Consolidated Movement pointed out that Mr. Udom Emmanuel has performed excellently well since assumption of office and as such deserves to be supported to go back for a second term.

He stated that since his predecessors, Obong Victor Attah from Uyo Senatorial District and Chief Godswill Akpabio from Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District occupied the seat for two-terms of 8 years each, it will be unreasonable for Mr. Udom Emmanuel to stay for only one term.

The former Abak Transition Committee Member thanked the people for coming out in large number for the meeting and called on them to go back to their respective units, wards and local government areas to educate the people on the need to vote for PDP at all levels.

In his speech, the Special Guest of Honour at the occasion, Dr. Chris Ekpenyong commended the Abak 5-In-One Consolidated Movement under the leadership of Prince Kokoette Ekpo for their initiative in organizing the Election Awareness Meeting.

Dr. Ekpenyong who is the PDP Candidate for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District called on the gathering to protect their voter’s card and should not waste their votes for APC.

The former Deputy Governor assured that if elected, he would not disappoint the people of the Senatorial District, but would rather give them effective and qualitative representation by attracting dividends of democracy to the people.
He called on all to vote for PDP Candidates, whom he described as transparent, credible and God-fearing people.

Others who spoke at the occasion commended the organizers and promised to cast their votes for PDP.

At the event, the organizers displayed posters of all the PDP Candidates in the zone, some booklets and handbills educating them on how to cast their votes during the forth-coming election.
