The group described the attitude of Mobil as very segregational, appalling, victimizing and retrogressive because as stakeholders, and in keeping with the local content law of the Federation, they deserve a better deal and partnership with the oil giant.

“We are competent to handle major contracts both onshore and offshore but for the past many years no meaningful contract has been awarded to our members while juicy contracts are given out to others on segregational basis”, the forum said, adding that the departments that have continuously neglected them includes; Maintenance/Operation, Marine, Nigerian Project/Organisation (NPO) onshore/offshore, Field Maintenance Service department (FMS), construction department (offshore), purchasing (local & foreign), Aviation and Joint Venture Operation Department (JVO) among others.
