PDP May Not Go To Brazil Again

The burial of the Late mum to the PDP state Secretary, Mr. Ibanga Akpabio has succeeded in stalling the planned journey of the PDP chapter Chairmen to Brazil, THE INK can authoritatively report. It was disclosed all over the state that party Chairmen across the Local Government Areas of the state were billed for Brazil where they were expected to watch some of the world cup matches especially the ones involving Nigeria.

Apart from that, the party chairmen were also expected to have a closed door meeting while in Abuja to map out strategies on how they intend to deliver their proposed candidate for the position of Governor come 2015.

As it is now, there is no agreement between the Governor and the party helmsmen on whom they will succeed as most of them are loyal to their respective godfathers who ensured their rise to where they are today. A party Chairman from Uyo federal Constituency while interacting with THE INK newspaper in Uyo said they (Party Chairmen) could not travel to Brazil because they were mandated to wait and pay the last respect to the mother of the Party Secretary in the state, Mr. Ibanga Akpabio. The PDP helmsman said, they could not travel because of the burial of Ibanga's mother which has been fixed for Friday (Tomorrow).

He however expressed doubts if the party men will still head to Brazil as according to him, the world cup will run to a conclusion in the next couple of weeks.

He submitted that it is very likely they will be heading to USA or Dubai or any other place of choice. He maintained that senior Party officials from Abuja are likely coming to Ukana to sympathize with the State Party Secretary Ibanga Akpabio.
