Yuletide: Ukapanah gives lifeline to widows

Succor came the way of 32 widows at Nsekhe in Ukanafun LGA last Boxing Day as the Special Adviser to the State Government on Investment and Industrialization, Chief Senas Ukpanah, OFR provided cash and wrappers to them.

Speaking at the event, Chief Ukpanah said it was an expression of God’s love to his people. He urged the women to invest the token of love in lucrative enterprises that would trickle down to their family members. He enjoined them to imbibe peace co-existence which the festive season is all about.

Chief Ukpanah thanked the Akwa Ibom State governor for propagating dividends of democracy to every nook and cranny of the State even as the uncommon transformation has manifested in quality infrastructural and human capacity development. He described Gov. Akpabio as an epitome of good governance who has taken the state to the centre stage of national discussion through dint of hardwork, commitment, charisma and exemplary courage. He said Governor Akpabio is a leader who is propelled by the vision and compassion of his people even as he has bequeathed unprecedented legacies to the good people of the State.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Deaconess Norah Robert Ukpanah thanked the Special Adviser for the kind gesture which has become a regular event. She described the expression of love to the widows as manifold blessings to the entire community; just as she thanked the wife of Chief Ukpanah for encouraging her husband to extend love to them.

Deaconess Ukpanah who drummed support for Governor Akpabio to win the Senate seat to represent the good people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District in next year’s general elections, said the gesture was the fruit of good governance which has impacted positively on the grassroots.
The widows prayed for the State, the First family, Chief Ukpanah and family.

They were led by the presiding Pastor of Qua Iboe Church Nigeria, Utu Nsekhe, Rev. Usenobong Harrison Udoudo.
