2015- APC will sweep  out PDP in A’Ibom  -  Eket State Constituency Candidate
A frontline politician and candidate of  the All Progressive Congress (APC) gunning for the Eket State Constituency seat in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly in the forth-coming general elections, Miss Comfort Okon Bassey is optimistic that her party will take over the State come 2015.

Speaking to newsmen on Saturday in Eket, the APC hopeful said the emergence of Obong Umana Okon Umana as flag bearer of the All Progress Congress (APC) in the 2015 gubernatorial election in the State coupled with the entrance of credible candidates of the Party in all positions of contest were enough reasons for PDP to sink into oblivion.
The astute politician of Eket origin from Etebi Nung Akpaisang commended Umana Okon Umana for mustering the courage to Champion a course for positive change in Akwa Ibom and indeed Nigeria after many years of wastage of resources by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (P.D.P).
She described Obong Umana as a grassroot politician with massive followership and a man of integrity who knows the problems of the people of the State.


“The conspiracy of circumstances and destiny has brought to the centre stage a man of destiny, Obong Umana Okon Umana to salvage the state from ruination, wastage, profligacy and poverty caused by a mindless cabal of economic dictators”, she said.

The State House of Assembly hopeful averred that the All Progressive Congress (APC) has fielded credible candidates including herself in various elective positions across the State, adding that the party is sure to sweep away PDP from power come 2015 general elections including the Presidency.

She promised to give Eket an effective representation if voted into office, stressing that she has the requisite experience and qualification to synergize the people into the rudiments and dividends of democracy. 

“I will maintain a functional constituency office for the benefits of my electorates because democracy is all about the people, you cannot make laws without the contributions and consent of the electorates, the people must determine what goes on in government and governance must not be independent without society”, Miss Bassey opined.

She revealed that her campaign organization has commenced intensive sensitization on the people on the need to break away from the yoke of man-made poverty induced by the PDP ruling party, through the exercise of their franchise in the general elections.

“What is happening in the PDP is good radiance for the down-trodden People of Akwa Ibom State, the time to break away from the ugly past is now, the people are now wiser and they will use their franchise conscientiously for their collective good and future”, she said.
