ASAN Ibibio is not for monopoly - Ntisong Ekidem

Ahead of 2015 guber race, a highly rated Traditional Ruler in the State and President, Akwa Esop Imaisong Ibibio, (Engr.) Dr. Essien Ekidem has refuted allegations from different quarters in Akwa Ibom State which had indicted Akwa Esop Ibibio of monopolizing Asan Ibibio.

Reacting to the said allegations, Ntisong Ekidem who described such allegations as false and unbecoming explained that Asan Ibibio does not discriminate any Akwa Ibom person provided an official application is written to Akwa Esop by anyone on the use of the space for whatsoever public function.
As regards the official reception ceremony of Obong Umana O. Umana by APC, the royal father recalled that in 2009, the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Chief (Dr.) Godswill Akpabio’s second term was re-endorsed at the same Asan Ibibio; adding that it is quite proper for Umana Umana to be received by whatsoever political party, describing Umana Umana as a “distinguished and resourceful personality” in Akwa Ibom State.

While advocating a credible and God fearing Akpabio successor who will take Akwa Ibom to the next level come 2015, he warned the entire Akwa Ibom people to abstain from all forms of violence and ethnic discrimination capable of marring the socio-economic and corporate existence of the citizens and advised parents to help warn their children desist from being used as destructive tools by politicians during the forthcoming general elections.
