NsikakUdoIbeh, MrIbangaUdoEssien, ApostleNsimaEkong, Mr. ElesusEffiong David,ObongIme Jimmy Anyiema, MrInemesit Frank, Elder UdemeIdiong, Mr. Ime Michael Ukpong and Elder Ezekiel Akpanudo expresses appreciation to the state chief executive for finding the Commissioner worthy of the office which they express optimism that he would bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new assignment.
Ward 4 Unity Forum assured Governor Emmanuel of their undiluted support and prayed for the success of Emmanuel administration and beyond.
The Commissioner’s kinsmen hailed him on the appointment, statingthat thereis hope that he would use his Ministry as the gateway to the grassroots, describing Mr. UdoEkpenyong as a compassionate and accommodating leader whose kind gestures have impacted positively on the lives of his people. They particularly commended the Commissioner for reaching out to widows, youths, elders and the needy during last yuletide, saying that the recently concluded Udo Ekpenyong Unity cup organized by the youths of ward 4 has united the people more than before, stressing that the Ministry under him has strengthened the relationship between the government and the traditional institution.
In a related development, the National Council for Women Society (NCWS), has hailed Governor Emmanuel for keeping the flag of superlative performance flying. In a chat with newsmen in Uyo, the president of NCWS in Ukanafun LGA, Mrs Dopse Godwin Sandy expressed appreciation to the state governor for appointing Mr. Udo Ekpenyong as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. Mrs. Dopse Sandy who is also the vice president of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District Women’s Forum lauded the Commissioner and assured the government of unflinching loyalty and support, stating that the Forum would continue to give its support even as Governor Emmanuel deserves a second term in 2019.
