AKSG to establish syringe Manufacturing Coy

ASyringe Manu facturing Company is to be established in Akwa Ibom State.

In a Press Release signed by the Information Officer Ministry of Health, Mrs. Mayen Atakpa, the Managing Director, Syringe Manufacturing Company, Mr. Zubeyir Gulabi dropped the hint when he paid a courtesy call on the honourable commissioner for health Dr. Dominic Ukpong in his office.

He said the company which is a world-class, was the brain child of the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Onur Kumral who decided to bring the Turkish Company to Nigeria after ascertaining that none was in the country, and Akwa Ibom is seen as the most suitable state for the location of the industry.

He said the company will provide at its peak, over five thousand jobs and will operate with international best practice.

He noted that 50% of the raw materials will be sourced locally for the production of the syringe by the company which will produce 2ml, 5ml and 10ml disposable syringes; with annual production capacity of 350,000,000 units.

Responding, the commissioner for health, Dr. Dominic Ukpong lauded the initiative of the Managing Director and urged him to ensure the sustainability of the Company.  He requested for samples of specimen and sued for standard and quality services when the company becomes operational.

Dr. Ukpong assured that the government will continue to provide peaceful and conducive environment for investors in the State.
