Dakkada Train hits Etinan Federal Constituency

The awareness and mobilization campaign for Dakkada Ambassadors which kick-started penultimate week in Eket Federal Constituency moved to Etinan Federal Constituency on Wednesday. The campaign which will go round the ten federal constituencies of the state was in Ikot Ekpene last week.

The campaign which is to deploy 500,000 ambassadors across the state within a year who will help further sensitize the generality of the populace about the Dakkada message and its necessity will be in Oron Federal Constituency next week in continuation of the tour.

At the Etinan Council Hall, venue of the event, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Marketing and Brand Management, Mr Sam Edoho told the about-to -be inducted ambassadors that Dakkada (Arise) is a movement of spiritual rebirth, moral transformation and re-orientation lunched on Sept 23,2015 to celebrate the dedication of the people of A’Ibom.


Mr Edoho reiterated the resolve of the administration of Governor Emmanuel to leave an indelible mark in the state and enjoined the Ambassadors to always project the governor and intimate the people of his genuine intention to serve diligently.

Advertising Guru & CEO of SOU & Satchi Mr Udeme Ufot who also spoke, said the best sort of empowerment for the people of Akwa Ibom was the empowerment of the mind which the administration of Udom Emmanuel was trying to preach through the Dakkada Philosophy. Ufot, who is the brain behind the Dakkada Philosophy  enjoined Akwa Ibomites to stand up to be counted by creating ideas which can launch them to stardom and worldwide acclaim.

“I discovered in life that success is not what you do not have...Your five fingers, brains are all you need to succeed”, he said.

The State Commissioner for Science & Technology Dr (Mrs) Elizabeth Obot who also spoke said the younger generation should take a lesson from her experience as an orphan who rose through the shackles of poverty to earn her place as one of the highly sought after Medical Doctors around. She praised the Directorate of Marketing and Brand Management for taking the Dakkada gospel to the different federal constituencies in the state and charged the participants to rise to the faith of greatness and encouraged all to move beyond ethnicity, bias, religion and gender like the Dakkada creed implies.

The event also featured three Dakadda Ambassadors- Ace Photographer Mr Smart Usanga (Image Faculty), Food Scientist Mr Victor Udofia and Snail Farmer Mr Mfon Udoh who explained to the audience how they used their passion and zeal-to-succeed for their betterment. They took turns to share their success stories, which should inspire the hundreds of participants at the event. They also encouraged young Akwa Ibomites to imbibe the culture of entrepreneurship and not wait endlessly for white collar jobs.
