The Assistant Coach of the State-owned Female Football outfit, Ibom Angels, Coach Aniekan Umoh has congratulated the Chaplain, St. Barnard Army Chaplaincy, Ibagwa, Abak, Rev. Fr. Dr. Christian Usungurua on his appointment and subsequent inauguration as the Chairman Attitudinal Re-orientation Committee in Abak local government area.
Coach Umoh who spoke with our reporter shortly after the inauguration, described the appointment as meritorious and well-deserved, stressing that as a highly-revered man of God, the Catholic Priest will use his position to change the attitude and mindset of the youths and the entire people of Abak for positive venture.
The football tactician hinted that people like Rev. Fr. Dr. Christian Usungurua should be celebrated as according him, the Catholic Priest has touched many lives positively, rendered selfless services to humanity as well as propagating the gospel thereby winning more souls for Jesus Christ.
The former Sports Coordinator for Ukanafun/Oruk Anam/Ika commended Rev. Fr. Usungurua for single-handedly sponsoring a football competition for youth clubs recently.
He stated that apart from fostering unity, the competition had afforded opportunity for the youths to showcase their God-given talent.
Coach Umoh prayed God to give Rev. Fr. Christian Usungurua more wisdom and enablement to continue to propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ as well as rendering selfless services to humanity.
It would be recalled that at the end of the Football Championship which was powered by Conglomeration of Youths for Democratic Liberty (CYDL), the winners smiled home with trophies and fantastic cash prizes.
