Eket Political Leader endorse Nsidibe Akata

A front line aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the forth coming general elections into the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Eket State constituency, Dr Nsidibe Akata has received the blessing of the political leader of Eket, Chief Nduese Essien.

The former minister and two term member of the House of Representative said that Dr Akata is not just qualified and competent for the position but is favoured by the zoning principle of the PDP.

He poured encomiums on the aspirant and subscribed him as an intelligent and highly educated young man who when given the opportunity will make Eket proud in the State House of Assembly but advised him to consult widely as other aspirants are also in the race.

“The Peoples Democratic Party under governor Udom Emmanuel adheres strictly on zoning and I think Okon-Eket geo-political zone has the turn to present aspirants to the party unless there are cognate reasons to do otherwise”, Chief Essien said.

Speaking earlier, Dr Akata who was accompanied to the consultative visit with prominent stakeholders of the party said that he was in the country home of the leader to remind him of his aspiration and to receive his blessing.

“Our great leader, I am here to remind you that I am still in the race to represent the good people of Eket in the State House of Assembly and to solicit for your continuous support and blessings”, he said.

Akata said apart from being the most preferred choice of the people, he is going to the State House of Assembly to build on the legacies of those who have represented the constituency and as well carry the people along in every legislative process of the House.

“I will not disappoint the people of Eket and the confidence reposed in me because I know that I am a servant of the people”, he assured.

He commended the former minister for his leadership qualities which he said has brought peace and unity to the party and assured of his continued support to the party.

Prominent among chieftains of the party during the visit included Chief Udo Hanson Isong, Barrister Akpadiaha Ebitu, Hon Ayang Akinimo Ayang, Hon EtteObong Harry, Elder Nse Atang, Professor Etieben Akpan, Otuekong Ikpe UbokUdom, Obong Kingsley Etop among others.
