Campus newspaper

Campus newspaper

That they are good papers does not mean that there is no room for another campus newspaper. Creating and producing an unofficial campus newspaper is very straight forward. The paper can be published on a weekly or monthly basis and distributed free of charge throughout the campus and community. Selling classified and displaying advertising to local business wishing to gain exposure to the paper readership base will support the paper.

Information and articles featured in newsletters can focus on campus issues and events, and most of the information can be obtained free from students, readers and freelance hobby writers.

Extra coaching for students/pupils

Subjects are mathematics, English, physics, chemistry etc. This should be done after school hours for a fee. Start with children of your church/club/neighbours/family members. You may be lucky there may be more than one child; then charge on a per-child basis or give a reasonable discount at least to get yourself started. Once you have started with one family you could network others into it; especially if they all leave on one lane or street or close to your place, campus. If you are a student, approach your lecturers/teachers and non-academic staff to coach their children.

You can compile the past question papers of common entrance examinations like JAMB, WAEC, NECO and others, in specific subjects that you are versatile in and sell to these children, along with your resourced answer. The longer the span of years that you can cover, the better. You could approach schools to sell this to them too. Please ensure that you obtain necessary permissions for the legal use of these past question papers where it is required. Even teachers can take advantage of this opportunity.

If you are in the village, you can organise after school coaching for the village children, particularly those getting ready to write common entrance examinations and other competitive examination. Charge the parents tokens. Your bill should not bet too much. The more the range of subjects taught, the more the number of students that you will attract which implies higher income. In future, convert the programme into a school after you must have properly register it with the appropriate federal and state authorities.

Teach a language or English language to adults
If you are skilled in language, especially French, German, Russian or Portuguese, you could start a language school and a translation agency at the same time. There are several people now learning new languages, especially for business purposes; you can start one. This type of business will thrive more in big business cities like Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Port Harcourt, Uyo etc. Uyo is the centre of this opportunity right now.

Do you speak another language? Do you speak English? Either way, your skills are in demand and will help you make extra money. People need to learn other languages and non-English speakers need to learn English. Most people prefer to learn a conventional style rather than just conjugate verbs.

Information products
Information marketing is when you package an information product or products that people need and you start selling them. Information marketing can be done while you are in your paid employment . as an information products marketer, you can begin to sell information products to a local and international market. An information product is information that someone provides for other people who need them. Every knows something that no-one else knows, when you put such information together, you can turn it into money. To effectively do this, there are two (2) options.
(1) Create your own products
(2) Use other people’s products

Your own products
Just think of something that you are good at or know a lot about. Consider these titles
1 Make millions monthly from sports
2 Revealed! How to pass jamb/waec at the first attempt.
3 What you did not know about hiv/aids the latest things revealed.
4 How to sack your boss
5 How to raise business capital without going to bank for loans.
6 How to make millions exporting bitter kola.
