The incumbent NAAKISS worldwide President, Hon Cyril Umoren was last week honoured by National Association of Akwa Ibom State Students (NAAKISS) University of Calabar chapter during their 2014 Cultural day celebration with the title “Iberedem Ndito Ufok Nwed”.
The chapter President, NAAKISS UNICAL chapter; Comrade Emmanuel Odokwo described Hon. Umoren as a boss and a friend to the students whose numerous contributions to Akwa Ibom students have not gone unnoticed. He also stressed that Hon Cyril Umoren has served Akwa Ibom students for many years and as such he deserved the award. He said that the award is to encourage him to do more for the students.
Accepting the award, Hon. Umoren who also doubles as the Special Assistant, Political, legislative and chieftaincy affairs to Mkpat Enin local government council thanked NAAKISS UNICAL chapter for the honour and promised his continued support to students of the state.
The ceremony took place at Malabour square University of Calabar also had Hon commissioner of Finance, Hon Bassey Albert who was represented by his personal assistant, Rt. Hon Elder Bassey Etim, bagging an award. NAAKISS Worldwide Sect Gen, Unyime Jonah also had an award to his name.
