Sequel to enthusiastic determination to secure an overall victory
for the People Democratic Party in Uyo State Constituency, the Vice
Chairman of Uyo Local Government, Dr. Roberta Edem has embark on ‘House
to House’ Campaign to enlighten and educate the people on the need to
vote the PDP and candidates at all level in the forthcoming general
elections.
Fielding questions from journalists during one of
the Campaign in Uyo, the vice Chairman, Dr Roberta Edem said it was
necessary to sensitize the voters in order to put them in right
direction of voting. She said what triggers her to engage in house to
house campaign was that, in today’s politics no chance should be
overlook especially during this era of political challenges.
The
Uyo Vice Chairman said since other politics are gearing for the same
purpose, that it was imperative the PDP members do everything humanly
possible to ensure a total victory for the People Democratic Party
Candidates at the poll. Dr Edem said apart from the educated, the aged
and grassrooters in the interland who were not opportune to pathtake in
the campaign proper need one and one people to point them to the right
direction hence her voluntary offer of the house to house campaign
project.
Dr. Roberta while describing candidates on the
platform of the People Democratic Party as people with firsthand
knowledge and experience who will make effective representation as well
as operate transparent government added that Akwa Ibom and Nigeria as a
whole needs experience people and seized the opportunity to laud the
wife of the governor, Mrs Ekaette Unoma Akpabio on her role in the 2015
electioneering Campaign saying that her recent women rally in the state
has really galvanize the women to one political direction as well as
giving hope, sense of belonging and representation in the present
governments.
The Uyo vice chairman who also congratulate the
Akwa Ibom first lady for a successful hosting of the wife of the
President Dame Patience Jonathan during the women rally to Akwa Ibom,
called on Akwa Ibom people and Nigerians to be law abiding and sue for
peaceful conduct and violent free election.
