Udom’s man donates office to PDP

A die hard supporter of the PDP gubernatorial flagbearer Comrade Wisdom Godwin has donated a campaign political office to the PDP and Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel for her numerous activities in the coming elections and beyond.

In a chat with newsmen Comrade Godwin who is the President General of United Peoples Forum said, the group having assessed the pedigree of all the candidates in the forthcoming elections decided to stay with the ambition of Mr. Udom Emmanuel which he described as God sent. He said, the PDP candidate is the man that has all it takes to take Akwa Ibom beyond dependency on oil and hence the reason they unanimously endorsed him. He countered the argument that Udom is a new man to the system by going scriptural saying for every calling, there is always a grace and so since God has called Udom, he will ensure he grants Udom the grace to serve Akwa Ibom People.

According to the UPF, president General, “the idea of building and donating an office to the PDP is to ensure that the message of the party is carried to all the nooks and crannies of the localities and for ease of logistics”. He posited also that it is also for administrative conveniences were citizens can come in and discuss the challenges facing them in their different communities.

Wisdom Godwin who is a professional photojournalist maintained that all is now set for the official commissioning of the building. He said, those expected at the commissioning ceremony include the state Party Chairman Obong Paul Ekpo, the PDP standard bearer for Governorship Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, Eket Senatorial District Chairman of the PDP, Mr. Kennedy Akwaowo, House of Assembly member for Eket Ayang Ayang, Eket council Boss Aniekan Akpan, commissioner for Health Dr. Ememabasi Bassey. Others are Akparawa Ephraim the man behind Transformation Initiative for the Emnpowerment of Ibom people, Deaconess Owoidighe Ekpoattai the House of Representatives candidate of the party, Chief Nelson Effiong the senate candidate of the party, David Lawrence the House of Assembly candidate for Eket state constituency as well as the party Chairman for Eket LGA Prince Godwin David amongst other PDP stakeholders from Eket Local Government Area.

A release from the secretariat of the United Peoples Forum indicates that the event is billed for Wednesday, 25th March, 2015 at 2pm at Effoi Village along James Town road, opposite Effoi Civic Centre in Eket Local Government Area.

The group it could be recalled has been actively involved in grassroots mobilization for the ambition of Udom Emmanuel’s governorship and has so far penetrated areas which were hitherto known to be Udom’s opposition and today, Udom Emmanuel’s ambition has been widely accepted in those areas.
