Udom appointed as consultant to Nigeria Centenary City Project

An Akwa Ibom born, UK based Construction and Energy Lawyer Mr. Koko Abel Udom has been appointed as the Consultant on the Nigerian Centenary City In Abuja.

Koko Udom is a leading lawyer with expertise in construction and energy law and holds a specialized master’s Degree in Energy Law and Policy from the prestigious center for Energy Law and Policy of the University of Dundee. He has been invited to manage the procurement and contracts process in the $18.6 billion construction of Nigerian Centenary city in Abuja by the Dubai based Eagle Hills LLC the private developer in charge of the project

Prior to his appointment Koko served as Head of Contracts and Law at the Royal Institute of British Architects Enterprises where he advised on various construction contracts and projects and dealt with a variety of construction disputes. He was also the lead drafter and the chair of the committee that drafted the new RIBA Building contracts, which are new standard form building contracts for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.  He has lectured construction law at postgraduate level and is regular speaker at workshops and trainings on Energy Law and Construction law. He also worked as Senior Counsel for Dxions Carphone group – a leading FTSE 100 company.


Koko Udom obtained his bachelors of Law degree LL.B from the University of Uyo and called to the Nigerian Bar in 2003. Udom is qualified to practice as a solicitor in the United Kingdom. He is expected to resume the new appointment late March. He hails from Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
