Oro youths hail Victor antai’s performance as commissioner …..declare support for Udom
For performing creditably well as Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration for the past seventeen months, and intensive mobilization of Oro people for the support of the present administration in the state, a socio political youth organization in the area, Akpakip Oro Librated Movement has commended the immediate past commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Victor Antai, and wish him to continue on his good works to rally support for the present administration.

In a released signed by the President General of the group, Ulap Effiong Adakama and the Secretary, Prince Edet Okon Edet, after their general meeting in Oron over the weekend, the group described the immediate past commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs as the only commissioner from Oro nation that has brought the government of Udom Emmanuel closer to the people, through his various empowerment scheme.

They appreciated the Mr Antai for donating fleet of cars, motorcycles, and other welfare packages to the people of Oro, cutting across the five local government, they described him as a grassroot person to the core, who as a Chairman of Mbo local government, mobilized massive support for Governor Udom Emmanuel in 2015 election.


Part of their message reads, “On behalf of Akpakip Oro Librated Movement, we write to convey our joy for the successful service rendered as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Akwa Ibom State, under the led Government of Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, Governor of Akwa Ibom State. We want to also acknowledge your unsentimental assistance to both the elders, women and the youth groups of Oron Nation”.

While declaring the support of Oro people to the government of Governor Udom Emmanuel from now till 2023, the youth group also pleaded with the governor to re-appoint Mr Victor Antai into the state executive council, for him to continue to empower the people of the area, and work for the re-election of the governor in 2019.

They said, “We want to inform the governor that Oro needs such a loyal and committed leader like Victor Antai back in the state exco to continue to do his good works and mobilized more supports for the present administration”.

They urged Oro people to eschew politics of pull him down syndrome, but rise and support their leaders who are doing well in their different offices such as Victor Antai.
