Members of the political leadership in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area have commended Governor Udom Emmanuel on his stewardship in the State for these one and a half years. They expressed satisfaction on his leadership of the State in spite of the trying times.
The body of Nsit Ubium political leaders said that the Governor has worked hard to fulfill his electoral promises even though the country seems to be in a recession. They cited the opening up of areas hitherto not exposed to development; the focused and determined effort to industrialize the State and the payment of salaries as well as the prevailing peace in the State.
The body made the commendation at a stakeholders’ meeting held recently. Speaking, the leader of the body, Senator Effiong Bob said that perhaps Mr. Udom Emmanuel came at the right time, suspecting that it might have been difficult for anybody without managerial skills to lead the State during these trying times.
He cited some programmes and projects earmarked for Nsit Ubium and commended the Governor for keeping to the promises he made to the people of the area during his campaigns.
Senator Effiong Bob who is a Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council of the University of Benin said that Nsit Ubium has always blazed the trail in political developments in the State and pointed to the zoning of political offices in the area which is an innovation that has been adopted by other areas of the State.
He called on Nsit Ubium people, and indeed, the people of the State to be patient as the industrialization programme of government will soon produce the required results and generate employment.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Otuekong Emmanuel Ibiok, said that the Governor means well for the people of the State and that all should rise to his support.

He warned against rumour mongering, character assassination and publication of fictitious claims by faceless individuals and organizations stressing that this will not do the Local Government Area or the State any good. He called for support for the leadership of Nsit Ubium Stakeholders adding that it has demonstrated good leadership so far.
In his reaction, the Transition Committee Chairman for Nsit Ubium Local Government Council, Hon. Otobong Edemidiong appealed to the people to show understanding in this difficult times and promised to take Nsit Ubium to the next level when things improve. He asked to people to desist from rumour mongering, publication of fictitious claims and the pull-him-down syndrome associated with some people.

Victor Bob, the Chapter Chairman of the PDP in Nsit Ubium, Mr. Aniefiok Johnny, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Petroleum Matters, Obong (Barr.) Essien Esema, the State Officer of the PDP, Mrs. Nsima Ibanga Brownson, the Managing Director of Royalty Hotels, Pst. Umoh Eno, Hon. Ekpedeme Akpan, former State Officers of the PDP, former Chapter Chairman of the PDP and a host of others.
