Oruk Anam Political Leader Commends Governor Udom Emmanuel Over the sighting of Naval University in Ikot Ntuen

The political leader of Oruk Anam Local Government Area, Sen.  Ittak Bob Ekarika had commended the State Governor, His Excellency Udom Gabriel Emmanuel in his giant strides recorded in the state. 

Speaking with Newsmen in his country home, Ikot Ntuen, Ekparakwa Clan, the political leader, Oruk Anam, particularly poured encomium on the State Governor for facilitating the conversion of the former premises of Special Technical College, Ikot Ntuen, Ekparakwa Clan to a Naval University. 


Describing this gesture as highly commendable, Senator Ekarika who is also the chairman of Ekparakwa Elders’ Council disclosed that the people of the area would provide an enabling environment for the smooth take up of the institution. 

He lauded the Federal Government for choosing Akwa Ibom State in particular and Oruk Anam as a whole as host of such an institution. 

Senator Ekarika described Ikot Ntuen as the best location for the institution considering the fact that, Ikot Ntuen is surrounded by natural running waters couple with her friendly disposition. 

Conducting Newsmen around the premise of the institution, Senator Ekarika urged the youths of the Area to rally round the management of the institution for smooth and peaceful start up of the institution. 

The Senator added “the institution when operational will bring rapid development in terms of employment, empowerment and infrastructure”. 

He particularly lauded the transition chairman of Oruk Anam Local Government Area, Prince Ubong Idiong for his open door policies and love he has for Oruk Anam people. Assuring the council boss that Ekparakwa people is strongly behind him. Senator Ekarika scored him high in human development, humility and respect for elders, and infrastructural development of Oruk Anam.

Senator Ekarika was franked at the occasion by other members of Ekparakwa Clan  Elders Council including Former Secretary of Oruk Anam and Secretary, Ekparakwa Elders’ Council, Hon (Okuku) Fidelis Udoh, Eld Okon Evans, Hon Emmanuel Johnson, Nsenam  Iwoketok-PDP Chapter Youth Leader,Uwem Jerome Udofia-PDP Chapter Exco, Mr. Okon John - Ward Chairman, Deac. Veronica Okon Evans - Ward Women Leader, Mr. Uyoata Udoekpo - Ward Youth Leader, among other personalities.
