Hausa leader bags united nations peace award

The Leader of the Hausa Community   in Akwa Ibom State, Alhaji Hassan Sadauki, has been awarded with a United Nations Peace Award.
 
The conferment took place in Uyo during the commemoration of the United Nations International Day of Peace organized in collaboration with The World Peace Prayer Society under the theme, ‘The Sustainable Development Goals - Building Block For Peace.’

Presenting the award, Nigeria Peace Representative of the World Peace Prayer Society, Mr. Mojima Etokudo, poured encomiums on him for being a staunch advocate of peace of peace and charged him to up the ante in his services to humanity.
 
Speaking with journalists after the event, Alhaji Sadauki described the award as a confidence reposed on him and promised to explore more ways towards propagating the gospel of peace in the society.
 
Among the plethora of dignitaries who graced the event was the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Deacon Udom Emmanuel, represented by his Deputy, Mr. Moses Ekpo.
