Dr. Ekanem Friday John a budding politician and Chairmanship aspirant in the forth-coming Local Government election in Esit Eket made the aversion on Saturday October 1, 2016 during this year’s Nigeria Independence Anniversary Celebration in Uquo, Esit Eket.
Ekanem said Elder Benji Udobia has over the years given the people of Esit Eket a crystal direction in politics and economic development, adding that the leader has made the people proud.
“Esit Eket Local Government Area is one of the foremost politically advanced Local Government Area of the State because it is blessed with visionary leaders”, Dr. Ekanem said.
The Chairmanship aspirant however admitted that elder Benjamin Udobia is not alone in the political success story of Esit Eket. He paid glowing tribute to the deputy political leader of the area, Hon. Bassey Dan Abia Jnr. a.k.a Badan for his accommodative style and brilliant forays in times of collective challenges and for his political sagacity which has resulted in his present appointment as a member of the Akwa Ibom State Judiciary Board.
He also commended Hon. Imoh Udobia, Hon. Namso Robson, transition Chairman, Rt. Hon. Eddie Etangkanga, Chapter Chairman of P.D.P and Hon. Enobong Asubob for their contributions to the socio-political stability of Esit Eket.
Ekanem thanked the State Governor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel for appointing Esit Eket sons as personal assistant and other portfolios in his administration but demanded for the slot of a commissioner from Esit Eket in his cooking cabinet.
He latter hosted party faithful to a dinner as his contribution to the celebration of Nigeria’s 56th Independence Anniversary.
