Ibom Corporate dinner holds March 24 ...Umana , Udom, Esuene, Bishop Akpan for induction

The need for proper  interface between   the government and private entrepreneurs towards accelerating the socio-economic development of the state, enhance capacity and local content as well as create employment for the youths as a means of wealth creation,poverty reduction and diversification of Akwa Ibom state will be the focus of an interactive dinner session between selected local entrepreneurs and the government, with the theme: “Akwa Ibom State 2015 and beyond: Building a viable and sustainable economy”,  under the auspices of Corporate Akwa Ibom Community.

A release jointly signed by the Chairman, Dinner Organising Community, Oluwasegunotta Ojo and the Executive Secretary; Corporate Akwa Ibom Community; Uduak Nseabasi indicates the event billed for Tuesday, March 24th 2015 will take place at the Banquet Hall of Ennjm Hotels and Suites, Dominic Utuk Avenue UYO by 6pm.
The dinner which will serve as a forum towards providing a platform for the formulation of a strategic blueprint towards creating a more effective, efficient and result oriented synergy between the government and the private sector with local entrepreneurs as  key players will also witness an interactive session between the Akwa Ibom Corporate Community and the four major governorship candidates in the April 11th Gubernatorial election in the state as well as the induction of the governorship candidates as Members of the Corporate Akwa Ibom Community.

According to the organizers, the event will also afford the candidates the opportunity to  enlighten the people especially the Corporate Community on how best to improve on the role of the private sector especially local entrepreneurs in the development of small and medium scale enterprise as a key component to creating jobs, develop skills and capacity, access credit and improve standard of goods, services and products as a means towards placing the private sector in it’s prime position as the major player in the task of industrialization and job creation that will lead to poverty reduction, improved standard of living and a private sector driven economy in line with global trend. A communique is expected at the end of the event.
