BERNARD UDOH SALUTES NEW CATHOLIC BISHOP



A former member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Bernard Udoh has described the successful installation of the new Catholic Bishop of Uyo, His Lordship, Rt. Rev. (Dr.) John Ebebe Ayah as the beginning of a new dawn for the diocese. The three term legislator started this shortly after the installation ceremony.

Hon Udoh who represented Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency from 1999-2011, thanked God for choosing Bishop Ayah as the Local Ordinary of Uyo and congratulate the new Bishop as he assumes the mantle of leadership as sherperd of the Catholic faithful in Uyo Diocese.

“I want to use this opportunity to congratulate the new Catholic Bishop of Uyo, His Lordship, Rt Rev Dr. John Ebebe Ayah on his successful installation as the second Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Uyo. I am optimistic that his reign will significantly user in an era of unity, faith, hope, spiritual upliftment and development in all sectors of the diocese” he
 declared.
 
He called on the people to give the new Bishop all the necessary support as the diocese begins another journey of life, describing the birth of a new Bishop at a time the diocese is celebrating her 25th anniversary as timely, divine and a manifestation of good things to come. Hon. Udoh expressed the hope that the future of the diocese looks very bright and promising and admonished the new Bishop to always be the symbol of love, humility, sacrifice and dedication to duty which Bishop Ayah symbolises and wished the new Bishop a happy reign.
