2015: IBAPADI endorses Samuel Effanga BY WISDOM GODWIN

On Wednesday the 18th of Sept, 2014, a socio-political group known as Ibibio Apoligin for Peace and Development Initiative (IBAPADI), endorsed the ambition of Hon. Samuel Effanga as the representative of Uyo Federal Constituency in 2015. The endorsement took place at the Uyo residence of the former Commissioner for Science and Technology when the group paid him a courtesy call. Addressing the gathering, the President of the group, Comrade Francis Job described Hon. Samuel Effanga as a man of his words and one with a renowned sense of humility who has always been responsive to the needs of the Federal Constituency whenever the need arises.

He extolled his accommodating attribute and pledged the group’s total commitment to his ambition if he will remember the group when he assumes office. He also noted that Effanga’s candidacy is a noble calling which will bond, strengthen and unite the people of Uyo Federal Constituency. 

He expressed satisfaction at Effanga’s deeds andf enjoined members of IBAPADI to queue behind his ambition.
 Also speaking, the women leader of the group, Princess Inyang thanked Hon. Effanga for accepting to work with the group and encouraged him to continue with his good works. Adding that God is the rewarder of good doers, she stated that Hon. Effanga has never looked down on any member of the body irrespective of their standing, class or age. This, she said is why the group is committed to ensuring that his dream and vision for the people of Uyo Federal Constituency come 2015 is actualized. She also assured Effanga of the women’s unalloyed support for his aspiration next year and prayed God’s guidance on him throughout the period of his preparations.

Another member of the group, Akparawa Jimmy pointed out that of all the aspirants vying for the 2015 Uyo Federal Constituency seat, Hon. Effanga is the only man with the right qualification and credentials. He said that though others have the credentials, they do not have character and attitude which qualifies a leader. He also assured Hon. Effanga that IBAPADI will do everything to ensure that come 2015, the group will stand by him to witness his swearing-in as the member representing Uyo Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives.

Responding, Hon. Samuel Effanga thanked the members of IBAPADI for finding him fit to represent the people of Uyo Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives. He also thanked the leadership of the group for their solidarity and support for him and the group, and pledged his loyalty to them as a member.

Hon. Effanga who is a member of IBAPADI, observed that the leadership of the group has displayed responsibility and commitment to the service of humanity and therefore, charged members of the group to emulate the lifestyle of their leaders. Hon. Effanga promised to work with IBAPADI to ensure the liberation of the Uyo Federal Constituents through an effective representation at the Federal House, while encouraging members to remain loyal and committed to his ambition.

The former Commissioner charged the group to go out and mobilize people in support of his ambition, adding that they should always be focused and concentrative on their God-given vision.
Effanga congratulated members of IBAPADI for their success in the forthcoming elections, while assuring them of God’s stand on their side in the elections.
