Edet, said that his new position in Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio as the Legal Adviser was a dream come true and that he will not disappoint his supporters who voted unanimously for him to emerge during the election.

While thanking God for his smooth election and subsequent swearing in, the learned counsel used the opportunity to thank his teaming supporters for their support during and after election.

According to the MMI Legal Adviser, “it’s a call to service. It’s a devine will of God. We have a lot of things to do and we will follow the founding principles of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio while discharging our duties.”

He however disclosed that MMI came up as a grassroot pressure group to ensure a good welfare for the people of Ibibio and Akwa Ibom State in general. Barr further maintained that the coming on board of the new executive is to further enhance the welfare of the Ibibio nation.

He promised to discharge his duties without any fear or favour of any individual, rather for the betterment of the Ibibio nation even as he vowed to work in amonousely with the president, Akparawa Patrick Udofia as well as other executive members for the continued unity and progress of the Ibibio race and Akwa Ibom State at large.
