The media aide to the member Nsit Atai State constituency has urged the people of the state constituency and Akwa Ibomites to discountenance media reports that claims that the Hon Member for the area, Sarah Elijah has failed Nsit Atai state constituency. In a press statement Ifiok David said, ordinarily, we would not have bothered to respond to such unfounded publication but for the purposes of clarity and future records we are compelled to make our position known and to put it on notice to the good people of Nsit Atai State Constituency the excesses of the so called consolidated movement lead by one Mr. Felix Etim which of course such name and group do not exist in Nsit Atai Local Government Area, that we will no longer tolerate such blackmail.
And the report in the state tabloid (not the THE INK) is mischievous, full of lies and aimed at and calculated to tarnish the image of the member representing Nsit Atai State Constituency and the Chairman House Committee on information in the AKHA Hon. (Mrs.) Sarah Sunday Elijah. The statement advised political groups to show respect to the Nsit Atai rep whom he described as highly performing.
Stating further, the statement said, it is on record that Hon (Mrs.) Sarah Sunday Elijah was the first member in the 5th Assembly of AKHA who went back to thank her constituents within 6 months after being sworn into office in 2011. After which she has briefed the people of Nsit Atai at Afaha Hall in Nsit Atai Local Governemnt headquarters Odot twice.
The statement also pointed out that Hon. (Mrs.) Elijah will continue to represent and deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Nsit Atai State Constituency to the best of her ability and that no amount of intimidation and cheap blackmail by political opponents, shall make her derail in the performance of her legislative functions.
