According to her, the school does not suit any primary school in the area in term of structures. “The condition of this place does not suit a learning environment. The students and teachers are not comfortable imparting and receiving lesson from this vicinity. This is the only school in this area, and the school that takes care of the education need of the area is not capacity enough,” She poured out. “The Government at State and Local Government level should come down and see for themselves. This is not a school.” “When I resumed office, there was no Principal’s office, I used my money to renovate what is now the Principal office, it now host more than the Principal’s office. This I do with little or no subversion as at then.” “The government should address this challenge by coming to the school’s immediate need”, She called. Commenting on the Orientation and Career Awareness organised by Uruan Students, the Principal commended the efforts of Uruan students for seeing the need to enlighten Secondary schools Students on the basic needs of the society, and higher institutions. She advised Uruan students in higher Institutions to stay focus on their studies while urging Secondary school students to replicate the same benevolence in near future to their siblings. This she said can only be possible if they (students) take advice into action. Speaking on behalf of the Students, the Senior Prefect of the School, Master Emmanuel Bassey thanked Uruan Students for the timely visit and making their school the first point of contact. Bassey used the opportunity to plead with the government to come to their aid not forgetting that they are the future of Akwa Ibom State and the world at large. Upon the visit, Uruan students noticed that the school operates from two blocks with ratted roof, Assembly hall without roof which at the extreme host the Principal’s office and many other blocks had collapsed to the foundation. The Orientation and Career Awareness had its theme on “Promoting Academic excellence and Productivity in Uruan Students”. According to the release by the committee, the Campaign will cut across all public Secondary Schools in Uruan.
