VALENTINE: AKWA IBOM LAWMAKER DONATES TWO HOUSES TO INDIGENT CONSTITUENT

A lawmaker representing Etinan State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Barr Aniefiok Dennis few moments ago demonstrated what many described as quality love and effective representation when he donated two houses of two bedroom apartments each to indigent women of his state constituency.
Dennis who presented keys of the apartments to the beneficiaries said he is doing this as a show love for the women who constitute the mother of the state constituency.

He said, he chose the day to officially present the keys to the buildings to them to give the women a sense of belonging in celebrating St. Valentine's day.
Barr Dennis who is also the House committee Chairman on Judiciary, Hyman Rights and Public petitions urged the beneficiaries to see themselves as his girlfriends noting that the capacity to present such gifts to them does not come from him but from God who gave him to grace to do same.

The Assemblyman stated further that he was moved to initiate the process of building the houses for the women when he noted the kind of shelter they had earlier.
He observed that it was not a sight to behold and then as a show of love, he had to build a house for them so they could get quality shelter and where to lay their heads.

Barr Dennis who spoke glowingly of the characteristics of women in the sustainable building and development of the society added further that he feels so pleased and highly fulfilled that he has been able to give back to the society and urged the beneficiaries to at all times always pray and contribute positively to the building of the society noting that more rewards await them.

In her response Mary Charles from Ndon Umo was full of praises to the lawmaker. She said, it is unbelievable that she is now living in a modern house as compared to the mud house she lived before.

Mary Charles while expressing her excitement to onlookers described Barr Dennis as a man whose contents and character is rare to find. She admitted that this is the first time she has experienced love like no other. She prayed God to bless and prosper the legislator whom she described as Iman Ibom's finest.

At Ikot Ibok Village, the beneficiary Mrs. Idara Ndifreke was highly emotional when she spoke. She said, she is moved beyond words and made a humble prayer to the God asking for more prosperity and blessings to the Assemblyman.

Mrs. Idara Ndifreke who described Barr Dennis as a good man with gentle mien said as far as God lives, that Barr Dennis will never lack quality things and all the good products of life.
Both beneficiaries promised to ensure that they take absolute care of the houses presented to them.

Speaking also was Mr. Joe Eduok the councillor representing Etinan Urban ward one. He said, Barr Dennis has done what has never been done in the community before. He prayed God's blessings on the Etinan lawmaker.

Aniema Eshiet, a relative of the first beneficiary Mary Charles was full f gratitude to the lawmaker. He said Barr Dennis is a brand that understands the people.

While further having glowing terms to describe the lawmaker, Eshiet said, the name of Barr Dennis shall be etched in gold not only in Ndon Umo community but in the State constituency and Akwa Ibom State at large.
