Fresh Talents Limited Academy Storms Uyo for Talent Hunt
Officials of a football Academy based in England are in Uyo to scout for young talented footballers for onward transfer to their Academy in Buckinghamshire, England for a career in football development and education.
Speaking to sports writers at Uyo Township stadium where the screening exercise is taking place, the head, Fresh Talent Football Development Academy, Ese Oduko said that he was on a mission in Akwa Ibom and other seven states in the country to fish out and expose budding football talents so as to help them realize their potentials and make a career in football through training, exposure and export of talents.
He stressed the need for teenagers who have a footballing dream to be guided and nurtured to fruition for their own benefit and that of the country.
Oduko who played for a couple of clubs in Africa such as Jean d’arc of Senegal and many teams in the lower rung of the English football league added that the Fresh Talent Football Development Academy in England is affiliated with the English football Association.
He announced plans to set up a campus of the Academy in Uyo to complement the the existing one in Delta state which will be handled by the state coordinator, Ekpenyong Harry.
The two-day exercise attracted tens of young football playing youths from the nooks and cranies of the state turning up to feature in the on pitch screening exercise.
