The senior special adviser, Bureau of technical matters and due process, Elder Ufot Ebong, says Akwa Ibom state will in no time from now supply Nigerians poultry equipments that before now were imported.
Elder Ebong, said the development is part of the state governor’s dream of completely industrializing the state and as well provide employment to our teaming youths, hinting that within the few months of Governor Udom Emmanuel, in office, over 1022 youths in the state are gainfully employed.
Elder Ebong, made the disclosure while interacting with journalists in his office where he took time out to explain what the Udom Emmanuel led administration was doing in the state to better the lots of the citizens.
“At the end of governor Udom Emmanuel’s first tenure, there will be a change in politics because our people will be busy working in the industries. With this, there will be low cost in campaigns and mobilizations”.
While calling on all Akwa Ibom citizens to keep supporting the state PDP led government, Ebon, who is also the state coordinator of Transformation Ambassador Of Nigeria said that the ground breaking by the state governor was a clear indication and signatures that the government has handed over the land for development so that the investors can thrive.
He used the opportunity to educate the citizens on the core objectives of AKEES, which includes; providing mentorship and re-awakening the spirit of making money rather than waiting for hand outs from government among others.
Furthermore, the oil and gas guru thanked the former governor of the state, chief Godswill Akpabio, now the senator for Ikot Ekpene senatorial district for giving Akwa Ibom state people a manager of resources in the person of Governor Udom Emmanuel.
“All senator Akpabio needed as the then governor of the state was a manager to take over from him as the governor and it come to pass in the person of Governor Udom Emmanuel. If Udom was not the governor, Akwa Ibom state will have received the worst heed in the face of this dwindling economy. Countries like Malaysia are developed because of good succession in governance and thanked God Akwa Ibom is moving toward that”.
