In what political pundits have termed as a landmark endorsement, political stakeholders from Etinan Federal Constituency have endorsed a frontline aspirant in the 2015 general election for the Federal Constituency, Hon David Etuk as their Sole candidate ahead of the nomination next month.
The PDP Stakeholders of Etinan Federal Constituency in a press release made available to news men resolved at the end of their expanded and well attended meeting to respect the age long zoning arrangement of political offices in the Federal Constituency.
They stated that as the party respects the Governorship seat in the present zoning arrangement in the State, the Etinan Federal Constituency seat in 2015 will go to Nsit Ibom Local Government Area and that Hon. David Etuk an immediate past Special Assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Governor on Projects has been endorsed by the people of the area as their next representative in 2015.
The Stakeholders frowned at any manipulation by any section of the political divide to usurp the right of Nsit Ibom Local Government in producing the next representative at the lower chamber and appealed to all delegates to respect the zoning principles of the area for equity and justice to prevail while urging the party in the State to provide a level playing field at the primaries in allowing delegates freely make their choice that would genuinely reflect the wishes of the people of Etinan Federal Constituency.
