MALICIOUS AND MISLEADING PUBLICATION: WHY FEJIRO OLIVER OF SECRET REPORTERS MUST APOLOGIZE TO THE RECTOR OF MARITIME ACADEMY OF NIGER OR FACE LEGAL ACTION

Why Fejiro Oliver Of Secret Reporters Must Apologize To The Rector Of Maritime Academy Of Nigeria Or Face Legal Action
By Raymond Uweh

It is an incontestable statement of fact that it is only fools who do not know their limits in life; even those who seem to know sometimes flaunt their brazenness in their actions. One would have thought that the fresh breath of orientation and psycho-mental purgation brought by the no-nonsense and hard-working administration of the Rector of Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), Commodore Duja Effedua (Rtd.), aimed at inculcating productive and progressive attitudes amongst Staff and Cadets, as well as improving diplomacy and mutual understanding with Stakeholders and members of the Host Communities would by now have broken old attitudes of all those concerned. But, sadly, that does not appear to be the case as even intruders have assumed the role of administrators of the Academy.

Our quality attention has been drawn to a recent post on a social media platform with a rather ridiculous and criminal name, Secret Reporters, a name that itself calls for immediate Intelligence by State security agents to unmask the facilitators and motives behind its existence, because a platform like that must be a cesspool and free pedestal for scammers and saboteurs. The said post carries the funny title: “OGA BOSS: HOW SA TO RECTOR OF AKWA IBOM STATE(sic) MARITIME ACADEMY, DR. JOHN ADEYANJU TURNED FEMALE SECRETARY TO A COOK RIGHT IN HIS OFFICE”.
In the first place, a portal that is clandestine and operates from the underworld is not supposed to imagine that it could offer anything meaningful, beneficial and plausible to the public, let alone be taken seriously when articles posted on it is written by a self-acclaimed, hunger-harassed journalist from Hell. Hence, we logically would have quietly discarded the post into the dustbin, first and foremost on three sound reasons: One, there is no such institution as Akwa Ibom State Maritime Academy on the authentic calendar of Academies or tertiary institutions in Nigeria, except in the secret unprofitable and cursed world of Secret Reporters. Two, the said Dr. John Adeyanju is not the SA to the Rector but Director, School of Nautical Studies in the Academy. Three, we have to respond because the stigmatized and accursed idiot called Fejiro Oliver was so insolent and awkward that he dared to mention the name and use the picture of the Rector of Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), Commodore Duja Emmanuel Effedua, in his self-destructive and ill-fated article. What Fejiro wrote was therefore an haphazard piece of imaginative prose fit only for the mariners.

We therefore wish to state even more authoritatively that although he claims to be a secret agent of his own downfall, wearing a mask of journalism, we know Fejiro Oliver as a scapegoat and hireling for every dubious and mischievous ideas in this world. And, as unwise and improvident as he is, cursed by man and God with no hope of redemption, he is always willing and ready to jump into an ocean in the fancy of catching the waves simply because some syndicate of those who have developed goose-pimples from the wind of positive change that is blowing within the Academy have gratified him with a some packets of tramadol. His post in this connection bespeaks volume of an indigent, impoverished and imaginative fellow who think that concocting stories in the vainglorious belief that he can stain the hard-earned reputation of a great personality like the retired General of the Nigerian Navy and highly rated Rector of Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Commodore Duja Effedua, and a committed high caliber staff like Dr. John Adeyanju, can come and vanish without regrettable consequences.

For the clearance of doubt, we would not mind taking a brief timeout to educate Fejiro Oliver on the principles of modern living and contemporary office setting, as opposed to the stinking slum in the most interior swampy area of the village he hails from, which constantly influences his thinking faculty and dispositions in a decent and life-friendly environment in cosmopolitan settings.  We would only select a few lines to waste a little time on.

Fejiro vomited the following unguarded words: “A preposterous act Dr. Adeyanju has virtually taken to with impunity is how he turned his office into a kitchen and his secretary to an ad hoc cook” To think that a Chief Lecturer would ask his secretary to bring a cooker or stove into his office so as to be preparing food for him for whatever reason can only be the lifestyle or odious imagination of a barbaric fellow from the remotest hamlet in the Stone Age like Fejiro Oliver of this world. Yet, he must have fanned himself for having alleged that Dr. Adeyanju’s secretary cooks for him in the office. How funny and pitiable? The best advisory to Fejiro in this regards therefore is that he must promptly consult an expert psychiatrist or renowned neuro-surgeon as a matter of life and death, to examine the present condition of his brain dynamics before it is too late. Of course, that is how pampered imbeciles of his ilk simply abuse the beauty of the social media and the adorable nobility of Journalism.

Again, Fejiro impudently alleged that Dr. Adeyanju is reported to be profiteering from Cadets feeding money and of course does that in collaboration or by the permission of the Rector who by implication authorizes him to do anything he wants to do in the Academy. What an insult of unmistakable lunatic proportion! Nothing could be more insolent and unforgivable than this. The question is: Did Fejiro’s informant not tell him that ever since assumption of full duties by the Rector, practically everything pertaining to Cadets’ feeding and associated matters are handled by Special Committees? Or, is the Rector the law and rules governing the Academy?

There have been unguarded elements and cases like Fejiro in the past. And those involved have been dealt with decisively in such a way that they are still licking the wounds of their audacious stupidity and suicidal presumptuousness. In as much as we express not a modicum of sympathy for Fejiro for still living in his ugly past when people used to talk and act without conscience and fear of consequences, we wish to inform him that this is a new era of transformation in thought and action, otherwise he must relocate to where he came from and regain his title as a local champion of gossip and cheap blackmail.

What those in the past thought they could smartly do in their foolery was to quickly delete the post from the page and prepare to be legal counselors onto themselves. But they have always been beaten to the game because like them, for instance, Fejiro clearly false allegations against the person of Dr. Adeyanju has already been snapped, copied and saved, to be sent to appropriate quarters because he who brings ant-infested wood into his house must not be surprised when lizards pay him a courtesy visit. That is simply to say that, Fejiro must be prepared to answer questions to prove the veracity of his accusations and the motive behind them if he fails to do a quick repercussive rejoinder.

Conversely, as a window of pardon, he must within 24 hours swallow up his vomit by putting up an apology to the Rector and Dr. Adeyanju on the same platform he used; disclose members of the syndication behind the blackmail in his questionable social media platform; and tender a well written undertaking to be co-signed by three guarantors that this nonsense will not repeat itself. Otherwise he should be prepared to face the music to prove or disprove the terrible allegations. Ironically, we can assure Fejiro that he will be a victim of the motto of his Secret Reporters platform that is “No Place to Hide”.

The damage Fejiro has done to the personalities whom he mentioned and the corporate image of the Academy can hardly be measured. It must be stated that Fejiro’s post, having appeared on the social media has already gone universal. It has also become a source of gossip amongst staff of the Academy and therefore a common reason for distraction that ultimately affects productivity of staff.

The Effedua administration is not only after infrastructural and academic transformation of the Academy, but is also after attitudinal renaissance in the collective interest of all now and in the future.  FEJIRO OLIVER, A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WSIE. Be warned!
