Build up to the 2019 general elections in the state, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Pastor Edidiong Ubong, has declared that Udoedehe is the best choice as Governor in Akwa Ibom State.
Pastor Ubong made this declaration recently during a meeting of Chapter Chairmen, Secretaries and Youth Leaders of the Party in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District; who gathered to endorse Senator Akpan James Udoedehe, install Dr. Prince Nyong, a former member of the House of Representatives as Leader of the Party in the Senatorial District and endorse President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term in office.
Speaking with this reporter, Pastor Edidiong Ubong who is also the House of Representative hopeful for Ikot Ekpene Federal Constituency, maintained that Udoedehe is a man of vision for fundamental growth and achievements of the APC, adding that his steadfastness and commitment to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state has catapulted the party to an enviable height.
He mentioned that as a member of several groups comprising gospel ministers in the country, they have worked tirelessly through the “Superior Grace Campaign Organization”, to canvass support for Senator Akpan James Udoedehe’s emergence as Governor, come 2019.
The cleric also used the occasion to commend President Muhammadu Buhari for his strides, and also registered his support for his second term in office.
In his words: “We are not ashamed to identify with President Muhammadu Buhari, he had brought positive change, growth and development to Nigeria, and we endorse him for a second term in office.”
The National Assembly hopeful extolled the newly installed APC leader for Ikot Ekpene, Dr. Prince Nyong for accepting to lead the people, describing him as a man of principle and innovation. He however advised Nyong to remain transparent in his dealings and be steadfast with the party, while he prayed more of God’s grace upon him to pilot the affairs of the Party in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.
The National Assembly hopeful pledged his unalloyed support for the APC and promised to do his best in delivering the dividends of democracy to his people if given the opportunity to lead his people. He also used the medium to welcome and congratulate persons or group of persons who wish to join the Party (APC) and his campaign organization in support of President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election and Senator Akpan James Udoedehe’s Governorship aspiration in 2019.
