AKSG adopts zero tolerance to criminality

AKSG adopts zero tolerance to criminality
Akwa Ibom State Government has  reiterated its commitment to rid the State of all forms of criminality and ensure the safety of citizens as well as investors who have arrived the State to engage in productive ventures.
The State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel stated this when he worshipped at Goodnews Community International (a.k.a Gospel Village) in Abak Local Government Area.

He said his administration has beefed up security to make the State unsafe for criminals to operate and warned youths to steer-off crime. He pointed out that ill-gotten wealth does not last and advised youths to engage in productive ventures through acquisition of requisite skills, which he said, is a sure way to lasting prosperity.
Governor Emmanuel hinted that 200 youths have been selected to acquire skills on maintenance in electricity related fields under the Federal Government Training Scheme and announced plans to integrate more youths in the ICT Oracle training programme.

The Governor emphasised that his administration is working assiduously to reduce poverty by boosting the investment consciousness of the people and identified power supply as a necessary tool towards industrialization. He said Abak community will witness uninterrupted power supply as soon as works at Ikot Ekpene and Ekpatakwa Distribution Centers are completed.

While congratulating the patriarch of the Goodnews Community, Arch. Bishop Elijah Mboho on his 74th Birthday celebration, the Governor acknowledged that God has used the clergyman to touch lives through humanitarian services carried out by the Goodnews Community.

In a sermon titled “The Path way of the Righteous shall never see shame” taken from Psalm 34:5 and 23:2, Senior Pastor of the Church, Apostle Samuel Noah said that God watches over all who put their trust in him.
He likened Governor Emmanuel to the biblical Joseph whom God positioned to lead his people to abundance and urged the Governor not to be deterred by challenges but should look up to God for divine guidance.
