The Paramount Ruler of Uruan,
Edidem Atakpo II, RT. Hon. Cosmas Bassey
Nkanga has rebuked violent among youths in the state. He stated this while
addressing a cross section of youths from Nnung Oku in Uruan Local Government
Area at his palace recently.
The Royal father
admonished the youths to desist from violent and economic crimes which will
only bring them to the verge of bankruptcy. He promised the youths of Uruan
that his leadership will serve as a platform that guarantees a secured future
for their successes.
He warned those who
were deeply fractured along regional, religious and ethnic lines to consider it
as an aberration. “The latent contradictions and gaping discontent, between and
even within major interest groups, threaten to frustrate even the most
well-meaning plans and progress” he noted.
His Royal Highness,
Edidem C. B. Nkanga described Uruan Local Government Area as a place where
businesses thrive; respected and rated highly among committee of nations.
He further tasked the
youths of the area not to take laws into their hands but believe in dialogue as
the best form of attracting government’s and corporate institution’s favour.
However, the prowess, intellectual dexterity, experience and the leadership
excellence of His Royal Highness,
Edidem C. B. Nkanga came to bare as the Chairman of Nnung Oku Council of
Chiefs in North Central Clan in Uruan Local Government Area, Obong Uduak Bassey
among other youths and the elders poured their encomium as well as the
forthrightness, integrity and purposeful leadership of the royal father Edidem
C. B. Nkanga in seeking to reconcile, stabilize, secure and revitalize the
cooperation among the youths of Nnung Oku in particular and the entire Uruan
Local Government Area through his intelligibility and God-given wisdom.
Edidem C. B. Nkanga
extolled Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration as a peaceful one for the
economic growth and development. His
Royal Highness, Edidem C. B. Nkanga was further described by other youths and
elders of Uruan Local Government Area as a man who is very articulated; clearly
people oriented; practically tested; extremely experienced for leadership and
above all an epitome of justice.
