Reports reaching THE INK Newspaper from Aso Rock, the nation’s sit of power indicates that the president Dr. Goodluck EbeleAzikiwe Jonathan may have considered handing over the south- south structure of the Peoples Democratic Party to former Governor of the state Arch. Obong Victor Attah. The president is said to be contemplating this in view of his earnest desire to harmonize the Party and unite discontenting voices.
 A source told our reporter that the meeting between Obong Attah and Dr. Jonathan which was earlier reported by THE INK Newspaper last week in addition had also noted the president considering handing over the south-south zone of the party to Obong Attah especially with the need to ensure total unity in the party ahead of the 2015 general elections and the need for the president Dr. Goodluck Jonathan to emerge the nation’s president by 2015.

Information gathered  from very reliable  sources indicate that the State Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio is considering his Special Adviser on Technical Matters, Engr. Etido Inyang a nominee to the Presidency to be confirmed a minister.

THE INK gathered that the presidency is considering two ministerial slots of a Senior and Junior minister for Akwa Ibom. Sources informed that the Governor will seek to nominate Akon Eyakenyi, Effiong Bob and Engr. Etido Inyang the position, with Bob and Inyang being those highly favoured.

Contrary to rumours  making the rounds on  the internet, the relationship of Governor Godswill Akpabio and Nigeria’s Presidency remains very cordial, Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Aniekan Umanah has said.

The Information Commissioner, while dissecting the contents of the story about the purported banning of Governor Akpabio from visiting Aso Rock, Nigeria’s seat of power, said the story has exposed the intents of mischief makers who did not wish President Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Akpabio well.
