Akwa Ibom students speak on ASUU strike
Students of Akwa Ibom State Origin have urged the Academic Staff Union of Universities to go back to
school with a plea that crime rate has increased as a result of the
ongoing strike that has passed its four months.
The group in a release signed by over 40 students maintained that it is a well established fact the world over that education is the key to development of any nation. The group said that the greatness of any country is to a large extent determined by the intellectual capacity of its citizens and pleaded with the striking lecturers to heed the president’s plea and return to the classroom.
