A Federal High Court sitting in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State
capital, Thursday granted bail to the member representing Oron Federal
Constituency in the National Assembly Mr. Nse Ekpenyong.
Ekpenyong who was arraigned by the EFCC on a nine count
charge bothering on forgery and alteration of documents pleaded not guilty
before the presiding Judge Ijeoma Ojukwu.
The defense Lawyer Samuel Isangedoho had cited numerous
constitutional provisions to perfect Ekpenyong’s bail and promised that the
lawmaker will make himself available whenever he is needed in court.
