Abak TC Chairman bags another award from Afaha Obong Group

Few days after the Youth Leaders of the 24 villages of Afaha Obong Clan in Abak local government area honoured the Transition Committee Chairman of the area, Dr. Emmanuel Udosen with the title of “Idorenyin Nto Afaha Obong, another youth organization from the area, Conglomeration of Youths for Democratic Liberty (CYDL) this Monday honoured the Transition Committee Chairman with the title of “Iberedem Mkparawa Afaha Obong”.

In his address, the Coordinator of the organization, Comrade Monday Isaac commended the Transition Committee Chairman for the achievements he has recorded since assumption of office, stressing that members of the organization and the entire youths of the area are happy and satisfied with his performance.

Comrade Isaac who listed some of the achievements of the Transition Committee Chairman to include; restoring the lost glory of Abak through the “Operation Keep Abak Clean”, facilitating the siting of Tilapia Island Resort which according to him, has created employment opportunities to indigenes of the area as well as serving as a tourist destination, and empowerment of youths which he noted has led to the relative peace being witnessed in the area.

The Coordinator pledged the support of the organization to Dr. Emmanuel Udosen’s administration. 

Others who spoke at the occasion including the General Secretary and the Public Relations Officers, described Dr. Udosen as a performing Chairman with outstanding leadership qualities.

They prayed God to give him more wisdom to continue to discharge his duties effectively.

Responding, Dr. Emmanuel Udosen thanked the leadership of the youth-body for the visit and for finding him worthy for the award.

Dr. Udosen lauded the group for promoting good governance, describing the organization as the collection of tested, trusted and intelligent youngmen.

The Transition Chairman assured his visitors that he will not disappoint them, but will rather continue to attract dividends of democracy to the people of the area.

He pointed out that the Transition Committee under his leadership has recorded remarkable achievements and solicited the continuous support and prayers to enable his administration record more successes.
