Oruk Anam TC Chairman advises Youths …as supervisor donates to widows, Chiefs

The Transition Committee Chairman for Oruk Anam local government area, Hon. Prince Ubong Idiong has advised youths of Usung Itiat Village to engage themselves in positive venture and also support the government of Mr. Udom Emmanuel to enable them continue to enjoy dividends of democracy. 

Prince Idiong who gave the advise during a new year get-together party arranged by the Supervisor for Education and Agriculture in Oruk Anam, Comrade Emmanuel Essien for widows and chiefs in Usung Itiat Village, thanked the people of Usung Itiat for the support given to Udom Emmanuel’s administration and solicited for more of such support.

The Transition Committee Chairman commended the Supervisor for his initiative, describing the new year get-together as commendable.

In support of the occasion, Prince Idiong made cash donation to the women, youths and the chiefs of Usung Itiat. 


Earlier, the chief host, Comrade Emmanuel Essien said the day was set aside to celebrate the new year with the widows and chiefs of his community, stressing that it has always being his desire to use the little he has to touch the lives of others.

Comrade Essien who is also the President, Industrialization Advancement Group (IAG), thanked the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for giving him the opportunity to serve as a Member of Oruk Anam Transition Committee. 

He pledged the support of the people of Usung Itiat and that of his organization to Mr. Udom Emmanuel’s administration beyond 2019.

The Transition Committee Member donated wrappers to the widows, goats, assorted kind of drinks and cash to the chiefs. 

Comrade Essien thanked the Transition Committee Chairman for personally attending the event. 

In his speech, the Village Head of Usung Itiat, Chief Eno Daniel Ukotang commended Comrade Emmanuel Essien for organizing the new year get-together to remember his people.

Chief Ukotang described the empowerment as unprecedented in the history of the Village. 

He prayed God to bless the Transition Committee Member and take him to a more higher position in future.

The royal father also showered praises on the Transition Committee Chairman, Prince Ubong Idiong for remembering the people of the village and called on him to contest the forth-coming local government election.

The event was attended by a cream of personalities including members of Industrialization Advancement Group across the state beautifully dressed in their uniform.
