The International Executive Council, on behalf of the Board of Trustees and Members of Ati Annang Foundation has congratulated its members recently found worthy and appointed by Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel into office as members of Akwa State Executive Council and other various positions of responsibilities in the State.
The Foundation has noted with satisfaction the caliber of people appointed to serve in the Akwa Ibom State Executive Council, pointing out that the new appointees would bring to bear in the discharge of their various assignments strong set of skills, wealth of experience, great attitude, passion, zeal, commitment, determination, heart of service and the deep fear of God.
In a statement jointly signed by the International President, Rt. Hon. Sir Udo Kierian Akpan and the International Secretary, Dr Gloria Inyang, the Foundation specifically thanked the Executive Governor for the reappointment of Hon Barr Uwemedimo Thomas Nwoko, the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice and Sir Monday Ebong Uko, Commissioner for Youths and Sports, describing their appointment as reward for hard word which means more work.
The statement further commended, the appointment of Pastor Paul Alexander Udofia, Commissioner for Education, Sir Udo Ekpenyong, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr. Nse Essien, Commissioner for Science and Technology and Mrs. Ekemini David Umoh as special adviser on Rural Development & Cooperative Matters.
The Pan Annang socio cultural organisation further commended the appointment of Prof. Maria Michael Ikorok as Chairman, State Universal Basic Education, Rt Hon Iboro Udom, Rt Hon. Nsikak Ekong, Mr Essien Ubeng, Barr Udomfu, among others, noting that the appointees have paid their dues to merit these high offices in the state having risen through various ranks in their professional career both in the public and private sectors of the economy.
The statement maintained that the Foundation is indeed proud to be associated with competent, dependable, diligent, thorough and experienced professionals selected to help drive the vision of the present administration in the state and expresses confidence in their ability as they would not be found wanting in their assigned respective duties. Therefore, in line with the Foundations goals and objectives of supporting good governance and sustainability, Ati Annang pledged its total commitment to continuously support the Executive Governor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel in his determination to reposition the state to the greater height and prays the “Almighty God who found the appointees worthy to give them sustained grace to carry on their assigned duties,” the statement concluded
