We will demonstrate our grievances against APC come March 12

*says Ibesikpo Asutan electorates

Electorate in Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency has vowed to demonstrate their long drawn political enmity and hatred against APC in the forthcoming re-run polls in the area slated for March 12, 2016.

Rising from a crucial meeting of the political stakeholders of the PDP Monday, the electorate which cut across both the ruling party and the opposition APC in the state took a swipe on the APC candidate, Mr. Gabriel Okon Akpan, for offering himself as an instrument to drag the political future of Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency backward and anti-clockwise.

The leader of the group, Chief Inemesit Effiong, who said he was not a politician but only an Elder statesman, said history will never forgive or forget anybody or group of persons, who stock in trade was to remain a cork in the wheel of progress of Ibesikpo Asutan people in their collective quest to get to the top of their political echelon by all means.
“We the electorate and political stakeholders in this constituency remain committed, loyal and satisfied to the representation of the Rt. Hon. Aniekan Uko who has done us proud within his short stint in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.

We are not happy and will never be happy that a sane son and indigene of this local government, in whatever guise, has taken the people of Ibesikpo Asutan aback. This person has successfully robbed us of our generational dream and aspiration to produce a speaker of the local government extraction for the first time. Luckily for us, the person in question turned out to be a committed servant leader, in the person of Rt. Hon. Aniekan Uko”, he said.
According to the group, the representation of Elder Uko in the House, is the collective dream of the people of Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency even if, election into that position is conducted ten times.

“On the 12th of March, 2016, we will prove to the people of Akwa Ibom State that we did not elect Rt. Hon. Aniekan Uko by mistake or happenstance in March, 2015. We painstakingly sourced for him and we found in him the leadership qualities we have been yearning for by the grace of God. Nobody can wish Aniekan away from us under any influence, he is our man anyday, anytime and any moment”, the group vowed adding that the success story of the former speaker, onceagain, slated for March 12, 2016 should not take anybody by surprise. He is the choice of Ibesikpo Asutan people, nomatter, whose ox is gored.
