AKICORP boss hails Gov. Emmanuel

The Akwa Ibom Investment Corporation (AKICORP) has joined the good people of the State and, indeed, all men of goodwill across the nation and beyond, in celebrating the victory of the affirmation at the Supreme Court of the divine mandate of Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel as the authentic Governor of the State.

In a message of goodwill to the Governor, signed by the Executive Chairman, Dr. Elijah Akpan, on behalf of the Management and staff of the Corporation, as well as all of Government-owned Enterprises/Investments over which it has oversight function and, indeed, all its Subsidiaries, the Corporation heartily felicitated the State’s Chief Executive Officer, whom it described as “our performing Governor, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel” on his well-deserved victory at the Supreme Court.

According to the message, AKICORP identified with the Governor and the people of Akwa Ibom State on this epoch making occasion, adding that with this affirmation, he would be focussed on proving his mettle as the performer and achiever that he is.

 The message stated that the Governor’s promise to industrialise the State and in so doing, realise the 5-Point Agenda of his Administration, was on course and the evidence there for all to see in all facets of the economy.

It expressed the optimism that with him fully settling down to the business of governing his people, he would fulfil the mandate of being the one to drum Akwa Ibom State industrialisation and massive development scheme on the centre stage of global recognition; reassuring that AKICORP, the ‘Special Project Vehicle’ established by Law to drive this process, was poised to do just that. 

Describing AKICORP as the One-Stop Promotion Agency in the State, the message pledged the total support and unflinching loyalty of the Corporation’s workforce to the present Administration, assuring of their determination in the task of translating its industrialisation policy into tangible realities, through the establishment of industries across the length and breadth of the State.

The Corporation also used the opportunity to congratulate Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel, wife of the Governor, on her 46th birthday anniversary; maintaining that she has, through her pet project, Family Empowerment and Youth Re-orientation Programme (FEYReP), imparted the lives of all segments of the State – the women, children, youth and even the men, as well as the socially disadvantaged of society.
