A renowned trans porter in the State, Elder Friday Udo Obot has rejoiced with the former SA to the immediate past Deputy Governor of the State, Hon. Godwin Mense Umonyem on the occasion of his 50th birthday celebration.
In a congratulatory message to Hon. Godwin Umonyen, Elder Friday Udo Obot who is the Chairman –Inter State Drivers Association of Nigeria (ISDAN) Abak chapter described his golden birthday as worth celebrating, judging by the achievement he has recorded over the years.
The renowned transporter noted that as a grassroot politician and administrator, Hon. Umonyem has used positions he has attained over the years to touch the lives of many people positively and has also contributed immensely to the development of his community in particular and humanity at large.
Meanwhile, Elder Friday Udo Obot has congratulated Young Stars Football Club of Abak for winning the 2015 Akwa Ibom State League Football competition.
Elder Udo Obot noted that by this victory, the football Club has made the entire people of Abak proud.
He lauded the players for their fighting spirit, hardwork and commitment and advised them not to relent but should work harder so as to win the Amateur League zonal play-off later in the year.
The Inter- State Drivers Association Chairman who had watched one of the club’s friendly matches as the guest of honour before the State League competition, described Young Stars as a crop of promising stars who if given the needed exposure, would become national and international stars.
