More applause for Gov Udom Emmanuel as he sets sail
Governor Udom Emmanuel has continued to receive applause from individuals, groups and corporate organizations on his focused and industrialization-oriented leadership since he assumed office as the Governor of the State. The latest is from an International Voluntary Christian Uniformed Organization, the Boys Brigade.

In a congratulatory message sent to the Governor, the Boys Brigade lauded Governor Udom Emmanuel for setting sail with vigour and determination and noted with admiration some of the notable strides of the Governor to include: setting up of a high – powered Committee of professionals and technocrats towards concrete plans for Ibom deep Seaport project, ground breaking for the motorized assembling plant, oracle training as well as youth training on Agriculture, among others.

Also in the letter signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Boys Brigade, Abak Council Battalion, Pastor Imo Ekon and Captain Uduak Ekong respectively, the group further felicitated the Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo, for being a formidable part of the Governor Udom Emmanuel team and expressed optimism that, with such commitment and focus, the people of Akwa Ibom State are in for great attainments and numerous dividends of democracy.     

The group used the avenue to express appreciation to the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel on the appointment of an illustrious son of Abak, Mr. Aniekan Umanah into his cabinet as the Commissioner for Information and Communications and expressed the optimism that, with the trail blazing record of achievements of Mr. Umanah in the past administration, he will lift the Information machinery of the present administration to greater heights.
    
The Boys Brigade congratulated Mr. Aniekan Umanah on his re-appointment and wished him sound health, divine favour and success in his new assignment as the Commissioner for Information and Communications.
