There is no war in PDP - Samuel Ikon’s campaign team
God’s Agenda  campaign organization(the campaign team working for the success of PDP candidate for Etinan Federal Constituency) has reacted to a recent news publication in Midweek Concord of Wednesday 11th February, 2015, where it was alleged that the  House of Representatives hopeful for Etinan Federal Constituency, Elder Samuel Ikon and wife are working for the success of APC senatorial Candidate, describing it as a handiwork of mischief makers and another failed attempt by agents of falsehood to introduce suspicion within the PDP fold.

In a statement signed by the Director General of organization, Hon Victor Brown and made available to newsmen in Uyo, the campaign team made it clear that there is no war whatsoever between the PDP Senatorial District Candidate Obong Bassey Albert and the Etinan Federal Constituency Candidate Elder Samuel Ikon as both are working together towards delivering bloc vote for the PDP in the forthcoming elections.

According to the statement, Mrs. Mary Ikon in company of other PDP women including the wife of the PDP candidate for Etinan State Constituency, female councilors, supervisory councilor for Women Affairs in Etinan Local Government Area, PDP Chapter Woman leader, ward woman leaders as well as the woman leader of God’s Agenda campaign organization Mrs. Imo Menim who also serves in the same capacity for the PDP senatorial candidate called for support for all the PDP candidates during the ward by ward tour.

The statement also added that the PDP candidate for Etinan Federal Constituency is a loyal member of the PDP and has been very consistent in his campaign for all PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections winning overwhelmingly in the 2015 polls.

The statement describes the said story as a figment of the author’s imagination aimed at causing unnecessary tension among PDP members in Uyo Senatorial District and called on PDP supporters both in Etinan Federal Constituency and the Senatorial District to disregard the story in its entirety and continue in their campaign for the success of the party in the general elections.

“In view of the above we make bold to say that there is no hiding place for APC in Etinan Federal constituency nay Uyo Senatorial District as we are both working together to ensure overwhelming victory for PDP, we are together and we will remain together for the overall interest of our great party in Uyo senatorial district” the statement concluded.

It could be recalled that Midweek Concord of Wednesday 11th February, 2015 had as its banner headline; Fresh War in PDP: Bassey Albert clash with Speaker, both accused selves working for APC.
